As I write this, we are preparing to debut our second illustrated children’s book at the “Read Across America” celebration at Flinthills Mall in Emporia, Kansas. (March 4, 10am - 12:30) We are so thankful to Emporia’s Mobilizing for Literacy project. They purchased copies of the book in both English and Spanish to gift to young readers on Saturday! This story about a determined little squirrel is a fun read-aloud book, and readers of all ages will be mesmerized by the gorgeous illustrations.
Meadowlark will have our YA and children’s titles available at the event with several authors on hand to visit with young readers and sign books. Julie A. Sellers, author of Ann of Sunflower Lane, will be conducting a free teen writing workshop. Bring your kids! If you are in the area, we’d love to see the whole family. Come celebrate reading with us!
Meadowlark Poetry Press is in the final stages of polishing The Book of Stolen Images, a gorgeous book of poetry by the talented Laura Lee Washburn.
Both books are available for pre-release orders from our website right now. As you are browsing our selection of books, remember that the flat-rate shipping fee of $4 is only charged once per order. So buy a book, or buy a couple of books!
More details below. We appreciate you taking the time to catch up on our news. Thank you for your support of Meadowlark Press. We couldn’t do this without you!
Much love and good reading,
Tracy Million Simmons
